摘要

Abstract

In this paper,we defined at first ultra-narrow gap welding process,and proposed four key technologies for realizing UNGW:ultra-narrow gap welding torch technology,welding seam tracking technology,gas shielded arc technology and metal transfer technology.Then we concluded that the technical advantages are higher strength/toughness welded joint,lower welding stress,and that the economic advantages are substantial improvement in welding productivity and revolutionary reduction in welding cost.
