摘要

Abstract

Four mechanisms for realizing radio level integration of long term evolution ( LTE ) system and wireless local area network( WLAN) are summarized. Based on analysis of the deficiencies of traditional in-tegration at core network level,the standardization process of radio level integration in 3GPP Release 12 and 13 is introduced. The effect of each mechanism on user equipment, evolved Node B ( eNodeB ) and WLAN is discussed as well as their characteristics, merits and application scenarios, which provides a thought for operators to deploy their integrated LTE/WLAN networks.
