The Adverse Effects of Endotoxin on Pigs and Its Control
摘要
Abstract
Endotoxin, also called lipopolysaccharide, is a component of the cell wall of gram-negative bacteria, which can be released during the growth and stasis of the bacteria as well as the bacterial death when dissolved.In the practical pig production, endotoxin contained in the air and feeds and induced by diseases can have a negative impact on the health and production performance of pigs.This paper reviewed sources of endotoxin, effects of endotoxin on pigs' health and performance and some controlling measures, in order to provide a reference for reducing the harm of endotoxin in pig production.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,关键词
