摘要

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to determine the effects of LED light as a kind of light sources on nutrient metabolism, carcass characteristics and meat quality of hybrid broilers from 20 to 50 days of age.A total of forty-five 817 female hybrid broilers, 20-day-old, were randomly divided into 3 groups (group I, Ⅱ and Ⅲ).GroupⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ were given fluorescent light, incandescent light and LED as light sources, respectively.Broilers were reared on 23 h light and 1h dark (23L:1D) and levels of illumination with 3.5-5lx.There were same feeding conditions among 3 groups.Results showed that: (1) The apparent metabolic rate of crude protein, crude fat, calcium, and phosphorus were not significantly affected by different light sources (P>0.05).(2) The percentage of dressing, percentage of eviscerated carcass, percentage of breast muscle, percentage of thigh muscle, liver weight, gizzard weight and heart weight of hybrid broilers were not significantly influenced by different light sources (P>0.05).(3) The drip loss and shear force in both breast and thigh muscle of hybrid broilers were not significantly affected by different light source (P>0.05).This study indicated that nutrient metabolism, carcass traits and meat quality of hybrid broilers were not influenced by different light sources, therefore, LED light can replace the traditional light sources, such as fluorescent light and incandescent light in hybrid broilers production.
