Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship of college students' club activities with their academic performance and self-efficacy.Methods:From Nov to Dec 2016,Basic information of 5011 college students' club activities and academic performance were collected.Survey data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 software.Results:1Relationship of college students' club activities with academic performance:No significant difference was found in academic performance between student club member and non-club members.However,there was a significant difference between those students who acted as club leaders and those not in students' club activities,in regard to their ordinal scores in academic performance(U=12636.5,P<0.05).2Relationship of college students' club activities with self -efficacy:There was a significant difference between those students joining in students' club activities,acting as leaders and those not participate in activities,act as members.On average,students joining association activities had higher GESE score than those not(t =-4.501,P<0.001),and students acting as leaders had higher GESE score than those acting as members(t =-3.424,P =0.001).However,no significant difference was found between those students who had resit experience and who have not(P >0.293).Conclusion:The self-efficacy of college students taking part in the club activities is significantly improved.Moreover,among those students joining in the club activities,student leaders are superior to member students in academic performance.关键词
