The effect of fluoride on root resorption during orthodontical treatment:a systematic review
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effects of fluoride on root resorption during orthodontic treatment.Methods:Databases including the Cochrane Library,PubMed,Embase et al were searched for the studies on the effects of fluoride on root resorption induced by mechanical force.Quality analysis was conducted.Results:Five articles were identified.The difference in objects of study,medication regimens,force application,and measurement techniques made a quantitative synthesis impossible.Fluoride could increase the content of minerals in cementum,and reduce the risk of root resorption during orthodontic treatment.But different results existed among studies.Conclusion:No verdict should be reached that fluoride had an inhibited effect on root resorption during orthodontic treatment.More large-sample,Well-designed,long-term randomized controlled trials are required for the future researches.关键词
