Abstract

To develop ecological circular economy with biogas as the core is an effective way to improve the rural environment and adjust energy consumption structure. The emergy theory was employed to analyze the emergy self-sufficiency ratio (ESR), net emergy yield ratio (EYR), emergy loading ratio (ELR), and enviroment sustainable development index (ESI) of the "cattle-biogas-corn"circular agricultural system in Hailin farm. The results showed that the ELR was 0.529, which accounted for 25.96% of the average ELR of domestic agricultural system in 2000. Therefore, the ecosystem exhibited a high self-maintenance ability. The ESI was 1.02 which exhibited a high stability of sustainable development ability. The ESR was 0.395 and EY R was 0.54, which achounted for 44.14%and 19.44%of the average of agricultural system in 2000, respectively. The circular agricultural system exhibited high biodegradation ability and sustainable development capability, yet the exploitation was low and the market competition strength was weak. The "cattle-biogas-corn" circular agricultural system of Hailin farm in Heilongjiang province was a typical northern agricultural circulation development model in China. Developing high value-added product and extend industrial chain will play an important role in application and development by this model.
