Abstract

Yichun city known as "forest capital of China" and "hometown of pinus koraiensis" was selected as the research area.The Landsat TM remote sensing images of three periods of 1989,1999 and 2010 of Yichun were used as data sources,and the land use/land cover distribution map of three periods was obtained.Based on the topographic map data of Yichun,the dynamic change of land cover was analyzed.Spatial pattern analysis was carried out with GIS tool and spatial measurement techniques.The results show that the characteristics of land use/cover type in Yichun City is obvious,and the forest land accounts for 85%-90% of the total area and occupies the absolute superiority.The percentage of the rest is from unused land,cultivated land,grassland,construction land and water area from large to small respectively.The area of forest land,cultivated land and grassland in Yichun increased from 1989 to 2010,and the area of water and unused land showed a decreasing trend.From 1989 to 2010,the land use/cover type transfer characteristics were obvious.The grassland was mainly transferred to forest land and cultivated land,and the transfer area was 4 759.15 hm2 and 2 281.69 hm2 respectively.The cultivated land was mainly transferred to forest land and unused land,and the transfer area was 46 268.31 hm2 and 2 194.26 hm2.The construction land was mainly transferred to forest land and cultivated land,with the transfer area of 593.42 hm2 and 573.64 hm2 respectively.The forest land was mainly transferred to cultivated land,construction land and unused land,and the transfer area was very small relative to the total area of forest land.Water was mainly transferred to forest land and unused land,and the transfer area was 206.05 hm02 and 58.95 hm2.The unused land was mainly transferred to forest land and cultivated land,and the transfer area was 48 023.12 hm2 and 2 818.96 hm2 respectively.Under the policy of prohibiting commercial cutting in the state-owned forest areas,the results could provide the basis for economic structure adjustment and development of under-forest industry.
