Abstract
Objective To investigate the choroidal thickness(CT) in macular region in low, moderate, high myopic patients and to explore the association between the parameters and dioptic power and axial length.Methods 115 participants were recruited for this study.The emmetropia subjects low myopia, moderate myopia and high myopia were 24,40,27 eyes. Choroida thickness was measured at the forea and 500,1000,2000,2750mm superior, inferior nasal and temporal to the fovea by optical coherence tomography with enhanced depth imaging(EDI)model.The difference of choroid thickness between myopia groups and emmetropia control group were compared. The associationbetween choroidal thickness and refraction and axial length in myopia group were evaluated.Results The difference in CT between low myopia group and emmetropia group showed no significance (P>0.05,all 17 locations) whereas it was statistically significant for moderate(14 locations)and high(all 17 locations)groups (P<0.01).The CT was thinner in the myopia groups. A negative correlation was found between CT and refractive power(r:-0.272~-0.485,P<0.01) and axial length(r:-0.22~-0.608,P<0.05). Regression equations betweensubfoveal choroidal thickness and refractive power and axial length were showed as the following respectively: Y=265.924-9.314X,Y=904.872-26.792X.Conclusions Choroidal thickness of macular in moderate and high myopias are thinner than that in emmetropias. CT decreased with greater dioptic power and axial length.关键词
