Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of the nape seven needles combined with point-to-point acupuncture in the treatment of cervical headache.Methods:70 cases were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=35) and the control group(n=35).In the treatment group, the nape seven needles were used combined with point-to-point acupuncture;whereas, in the control group, conventional acupoints were selected.Different-time VAS score and headache duration were compared to evaluate clinical effects. Results:VAS score and headache duration after treatment, one-week after treatment, and one-month after treatment were all significantly decreased compared to those before treatment in the two groups;in terms of VAS score, there was no statistic difference direct after treatment between the two groups, but the difference was significant at one-week after and one-month after;in terms of headache duration, there was no significant difference at one-week after treatment between the two groups, but the difference was statistically significant at one-month after treatment. The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.94%, which was significantly higher than 81.82% of the control group. Conclusion:The therapy of nape seven needles combined with point-to-point acupuncture could significantly relieve cervical headache. It could effectively shorten headache duration with a strong and fast effect.Especially, the long-term efficacy of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group with reliable safety.关键词
