摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of glutamine on the p38MAPK,IL-8 and IL-17 expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods Thirty-two patients with acute exacerbation of COPD(AECOPD) and 32 patients with stable COPD(SCOPD) were enrolled in the study.Venous blood samples were collected and PBMCs were isolated.The patients were equally divided into the Gln intervention group and blank control group.Sixteen healthy subjects served as normal control group.The expression levels of p38MAPK,IL-8 and IL-17 in PBMCs were detected by real-time PCR.Results The expression of p38MAPK,IL-8 and IL-17 in AECOPD and SCOPD blank control groups were higher than those in normal control group (P<0.05),while the difference was more marked in AECOPD blank control group.The expression of p38MAPK,IL-8 and IL-17 in AECOPD and SCOPD Gln groups were significantly lower than those in AECOPD and SCOPD blank control groups,respectively (P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion Glutamine may exert an anti-inflammatory role in COPD patients by inhibiting p38MAPK cell signaling pathway and reducing the expression of IL-8 and IL-17.
