Multi-rate Real-time Simulator Based on FPGA and Order Stream

Abstract
In order to realize a real-time simulation of active distribution network,a multi-rate real-time simulator is de?veloped based on field-programmable gate array(FPGA)-order stream real-time digital simulator. By adopting the tech?nology of data sharing and data pipeline,the data throughput between arithmetic components is improved. Moreover, by inserting a pingpong circuit between the arithmetic components and real equipment,a high running speed of arithme?tic components is ensured. To facilitate the customization of real-time simulation system,a translation tool from simula?tion script to the order stream is proposed based on a hierarchical processing method. A real-time simulation of IEEE 5-node active distribution network integrated with two photovoltaic power generations is carried out with 50μs/5μs time-steps. Experimental results show that the multi-rate real-time simulator can run steadily for a long time,and the simula?tion accuracy is in accordance with that of the PSCAD simulation results.关键词
