摘要

Abstract

This experiment studied the effects of alfalfa meal on growth performance of Boer goats and the economic benefits analysis.Seventy-five Boer goat ewes weighed 24 to 28 kg were divided into five groups with three replicates per group and five ewes per replicate according to a single-factor completely randomized block design.Control group was fed a basal diet,and test group Ⅰ,test group Ⅱ,test group Ⅲ and test group Ⅳ were fed basal diet with 10%,20%,30% and 40% of alfalfa meal instead of peanut vine,respectively.The pre-test lasted for 7 d,and the test lasted for 60 d.The results showed as follows: average daily feed intake of five groups had no significant difference (P>0.05),with the increase of alfalfa meal amount,average daily feed intake was decreased;average daily gain in test group Ⅲ and test group Ⅳ were significantly higher than that in the other groups (P<0.05),with the increase of alfalfa meal amount,average daily gain was increased;feed to gain ratio in four test groups was lower than that in control group significantly,test group Ⅲ and test group Ⅳ were significantly lower than control groups (P<0.05),and test group Ⅳ was the lowest,which was 6.53.The results indicate that alfalfa meal substitute peanut vine can improve average daily gain,decrease feed to gain ratio,when the substitute level of alfalfa meal is 40%,Boer goats has better growth performance,but diet cost is also higher.
