Abstract
Objective To investigate the short-term and long-term efficacy and patients'satisfaction of eustachian tube balloon dilatation combined with tympanostomy in treatment of patients with chronic recurrent secretory otitis media.Methods A total of 53 patients (91 ears) with chronic recurrent secretory otitis media admitted during January 2013 and March 2015 were divided to observation group (n =27,46 ears) and control group (n =26,45 ears) according to surgical method.Control group was treated with tympanostomy,while observation group was treated with eustachian tube balloon dilatation on the basis of the treatment for control group.The short-term and long-term efficacy and degrees of patients'satisfaction were analyzed in two groups.Results In observation group,in the 1st,6th and 12th months after surgery,values of eustachian tube dysfunction questionnaires-7 (ETDQ-7) scores and incidence rates of complication were significantly lower,while the total satisfaction degree was significantly higher than those in control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Eustachian tube balloon dilatation combined with tympanostomy in treatment of patients with chronic recurrent secretory otitis media can achieve good efficacy and promote quick recovery of eustachian tube function.关键词
