Correlation of high sensitivity C-reactive protein with progression and prognosis of postoperative patients

Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship of high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in cerebrospinal fluid with the type of brain injury,progression and prognosis of postoperative patients.Methods According to the type of brain injury and surgical procedure,60 surgical patients were divided into three groups,23 surgical patients with epidural hematoma in group Ⅰ,22 surgical patients with subdural hematoma in groupⅡ,15 surgical patients with extensive contusion and laceration in groupⅢ.The cerebrospinal fluid were collected from the surgical patients during the period of one day and three weeks.Immunoturbidimetric as-say was used to detect the level of hs-CRP in cerebrospinal fluid which was compared with the real-time imaging data.Results The differences of hs-CRP were significantly statistically between different groups at the same point time.The value of hs-CRP correlated with CT characteristics and suggested the disease trend earlier.Conclusion The value of hs-CRP in cerebrospinal fluid is closely related to different types of brain injury and prognosis,which is a sensitive marker for surgical patients.关键词
