Abstract

Anaerobic digestion (AD) performance of wheat straw pretreated by pig manure liquid fraction of digestate (LFD) was investigated. Wheat straw was used as raw material, and LFD of pig manure was used as a pretreatment reagent. The four pretreatment time was 1 d,2 d, 3 d, 5 d and pretreatment moisture contents were set as 30%, 50%, 70%, 85% and 90%, respectively. The result showed that the amount of LFD and pretreatment time were important factors in the pretreatment process. The optimum AD performance was achieved under 1 d pretreatment and 85% moisture content condition. The cumulative biomethane production was up to 258 mL/g VS, which was 43.20% higher than that of the untreated. T80, the ammonia nitrogen and alkalinity were 19 d, 1104.13 mg/L, 7316.67 mg/L, respectively, and the anaerobic system was stable. Therefore, the pig manure can be used as a promising pretreatment agent for AD of engineering practical application, and provided a theoretical evidence for solving LFD treatment problems.
