电极厚度对锂离子电池电化学性能的影响
Effects of electrode thickness on electrochemical characteristics of lithium-ion batteries

Abstract
Considering any change in the specifications may significantly affect the overall performance and life of a battery,an investigation on the electrochemical behavior of Li-ion batteries using different electrode thickness was carried out on both the battery level and on the component level,and a series of relevant analyses were conducted based on both experimental results and extensive simulation results.NMC cathode laminate of different thicknesses were prepared.The effects of electrode thickness on rate capability,long-term cycling behavior and capacity fading were investigated.1D electrochemical model was also established based on the porous electrode theory.To validate this model experimental discharge curves from two NMC/graphite cells were compared with simulation results.The simulation results show that the differences of several key battery properties (e.g.,salt concentration,Li-ion concentrations at the particle surfaces,overpotential and the electrolyte potential,etc.) would result in distinctions at rate capability,long-term cycling behavior and capacity fading between laminate of different thicknesses.关键词
