摘要

Abstract

A study on radiation-hard EDFA based on a novel erbium-doped fiber was carried out.The experimental results show that the passive-transmission decay rate of the optical fiber under radiation environment is 3.24 ×10-3 dB/ (krad·m),which is 30.6% larger than that of the conventional erbium-doped fibers.The radiation sensitivity properties of the key devices in EDFA was compared.The EDFA based on the proposed novel fiber structure exhibits a limited decrease by 0.35dB up to total dose of 70krad (Si) under the 60Co radiation.
