Abstract

Objective To investigate the current situation of humanistic care ability of nursing students in the late stage of internship in a Class ⅢGrade Ⅰtumor hospital in Xinjiang, and to explore the influencing factors of nursing students ' humanistic care ability. Methods Used cluster sampling method to choose the topical tumor hospital 112 nursing students as the research object. Nursing Students' Humanistic Caring Ability Scale, Students' Perception on Clinical Teachers' Caring Behavior Scale and Clinical Nurses' Humanity Care Quality Scale were used for the investigation in nursing students and their clinical teachers. Results The total score of nursing students' humanistic ability was 73.4±8.4 and the scoring rate 73.4%. Multivariate analysis showed that humanistic nursing ability of nursing students was influenced by the relationship with the peers, the evaluation of internship environment, the quality of humanistic care of clinical teachers and students' perception on clinical teachers' caring behavior (P<0.05). Conclusion The humanistic care ability of nursing students in the late stage of internship is in a moderate level. Targeted measures such as creating a good care environment for nursing students, improving practice environment,clinical teachers' care quality and nursing students' perceive on clinical teachers' care behavior should be taken to promote the humanistic care ability of nursing students.
