摘要

Abstract

Gantry crane plays an important role in loading and unloading operation in the port container yard.With the increase in container throughput,it is imperative to improve the loading and unloading efficiency.On-site analysis of gantry crane loading and unloading process reveals that the alignment between spreaders of gantry crane and container trailers is one of the bottlenecks for improving the handling efficiency of gantry cranes.To break the bottleneck,a system based on the laser ranging technology is developed to facilitate quick alignment between the spreader and container trailer.Application has proved that the system promises high loading and unloading efficiency of gantry cranes,low labor intensity for drivers and less security risks.
