Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of thirteen ghost-acupoints acupuncture method on blood am-monia,the content of β-endorphin in patients with hepatic encephalopathy. Methods:Eighty-six patients with hepatic encephalopathy were randomly divided into treatment group(n=44) and control group(n=42). Patients in the control group were treated with ornithine aspartate injection and branched chain amino acid. Patients in the treatment group were treated with needling thirteen ghost-acupoints combined with above treatment. After 1 week of treatment,changes of blood ammonia,the content of β-endorphin were observed in both groups. Results:After one week of treatment,the total effective rate was 90.9％ in treatment group,and 69.0％in control group,with statistical difference(P<0.05). Blood ammonia,the content of β-endorphin in the treat-ment group were significantly decreased compared with those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Thir-teen ghost-acupoints acupuncture combined with western medicine has good effect on hepatic encephalopa-thy,for it can improve liver function and significantly reduce levels of blood ammonia,the content of β-en-dorphin in patients with hepatic encephalopathy.关键词
