Abstract
Objective To explore the value of electroencephalogram (EEG) in the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis complicated with hepatic encephalopathy.Methods A total of 78 patients with liver cirrhosis complicated with hepatic encephalopathy admitted by the authors were selected and received EEG examination.The abnormal performance of EEG was observed and the relation between abnormal degree and stage of encephalopathy and Child-Pugh stage analyzed.Results All of the 78 patients had abnormal EEG;the mild group had no lethargy or coma cases.The constituent ratio of patients with lethargy or coma (100％) in the severe group was higher than that (35％) in the moderate group.There was significant difference among the three groups (P ＜ 0.05).The constituent ratio (6.3％) of Grade C (Child-Pugh grade) patients in the mild group was lower than that in the moderate group (52.5％) and the severe group (66.7％);the difference among the three groups was significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The abnormal degree of EEG can reflect the clinical staging and Child-Pugh stage of liver cirrhosis complicated with hepatic encephalopathy and has significant reference value in clinical diagnosis.关键词
