Abstract
Objective Using the Enlow ,s counterpart analysis to evaluate the changes before and after activator treatment of craniofacial deformity occurred on class II Division 1 malocclusion, and to analyse the mechanism of activator treatment of class II Division 1 malocclusion. Methods 35 patients with class Ⅱ Division 1 malocclusion deformity who were visited in the clinic of Stomatology hospital of Harbin Medical University were selected(male 16 cases,female 19 cases), aged 10-12 years old.The author measures its SNA angles, SNB angles, ANB angles, Y axis angles, U1/PP angles, L1/MP angles, A-Ptm values, B1 values, J-B values, LI-MP values, U1-PP values, Go-Cd values, A1 values, and A2 values. Each index was measured 3 times and the average values were taked.The paired t test was used to analyze the measurement results before and after orthodontic treatment. Results ①The sagittal direction,SNA, U1/PP, A-Ptm after treatment were reduced, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). B1 after treatment increased, but compared with before treatment, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). SNB,ANB,L1/MP,J-B are increased,the difference wasstatisticallysignificant (P<0.05), Y angle increased. But after treatment compared with before treatment, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).②In vertical direction, U1-PP, L1-MP, Go-Cd, A1, A2 increased, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Activator can improve class II Division 1 malocclusion, relationship between the upper and lower mandible,so as to effectively improve the patient's face.关键词
