Textual Research of the Author and Written Time of Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments

Abstract
The Chinese medical classic Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments is not a very famous work and the authors are also strangers to most people.For a long time,many people believe that the author is Xu Dan'an and the written time was the late Qing dynasty.The author of this article took the words of "Xu Dan'an"," Xu Yiehen"," Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments" and "Small Discoveries of Patterns and Treatments" as the search terms.It discovers that there are 4 articles related to "Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments",9 effective items related to Xu Dan'an's articles (4 articles related to Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments),4 items of effective articles related Xu Yichen same as Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments and 0 item of effective articles related to Small Discoveries of Patterns and Treatments.It indicates that there are few records of this classic.According to the documentary records,Xu Dan'an is different from the writer of Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments Xu Yichen because there are interchangeability Chinese characters.By studying the original work,researching the literatures and analyzing the errors,the author of this article holds that the writer of Small Discoveries of Medical Patterns and Treatments is Xu Yichen styled himself Dan'an in the periods of Emperor Shunzhi and Kangxi in Qing dynasty and Haiyan County in Zhejiang Province,and this classic was written in the Kangxi dynasty.关键词
