摘要

Abstract

Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram (MFD) is an inherent property of the road network, as it can monitor the running status of the road network at the macro level. Due to this property, MFD has been widely used in the field of network control in recent years. This paper presents a detailed literature review on perimeter control strategies of the road network, summarizes the research results of single-and multi-reservoir networks, and indicates the future research directions. In the background of growing traffic congestion, this study is meaningful to all eviate traffic congestion and to enhance overall operating efficiency of road network.
