摘要

Abstract

Considering the topology of a cascaded multilevel inverter with a half H-bridge,a modulation method is pro?posed in this paper. Compared with the traditional cascaded multilevel inverter with an H-bridge,the proposed struc?ture can output more levels and reduce the number of switching devices under the condition where the numbers of basic cascaded units are equal. With three symmetric power units and two asymmetric power units being taken as two exam?ples,two different modulation methods are analyzed theoretically and verified through simulations. Simulation results verify the advantage of the proposed topology and the feasibility of the corresponding modulation method.
