摘要

Abstract

Delay in VSC-HVDC system is considerable because its control is distributed in several different controllers and amount of communication data between controllers are large. In general, the delay is much larger than one control period. Delay increment deteriorates dynamic performance and may even cause system instability. A phase correction method without affecting magnitude-frequency response is proposed. Firstly, universality of the method is analyzed. Then the correction method is applied to system stability analysis of a real back-to-back MMC project. Effects and limitations of the method are presented. At last, real-time simulation based on controllers used in the project and grid-fault test in industrial application shows that reasonable configuration of phase correction will improve fault ride through capability of the system and increase its success rate.
