摘要

Abstract

ASK1-D3-D14 protein complex, as a part of E3 ubiquitin ligase, regulates plant morphogenesis and other physiological reactions. In order to characterize the interaction interface of the complex and reveal the evolutionary relationships of D3 orthologs, we searched and analyzed the protein sequences, and found that D3 genes showed different evolution processes among different spe-cies according to phylogenetic analysis. D3 protein contains F-box-like domain that interacts with ASK1 protein. Amino acid se-quences of F-box-likes in different proteins exhibit lower similarity, but their 3D structures share high similarity, implying that the similarities of their 3D structures are more important than sequences in terms of interaction. The amino acid sequences of the interac-tion interfaces between D3 and D14 orthologs are more similar, especially the amino acids sequence of hydrophobic areas between D3 and D14 proteins. These findings attribute to further study of D3 protein complex.
