Effect of Protection against Wind-drift Sand over Desert-oasis Ecotone

Abstract
The wind speed,local circulation and granular properties of surface sand over the desert-oasis ecotone in the Heishanzui area in Dunhuang were studied using a portable gradient wind measurement system during systematic weather processes and other methods.The effect of protection against wind-drift sand over the desert-oasis ecotone was analyzed.Because of the differences of material composition,spatial structure and water-thermal conditions between desert and oasis,there is a "cold island" effect and a local circulation.From the desert to the oasis,the mean grain size decreases gradually.There is a regularity in the variation of skewness,kurtosis and sorting coefficient.The effect of protection against wind-drift sand has a linear correlation with initial wind speed,distance and roughness.It is inversely proportional to the initial wind speed.But it has a positive correlation with the distance and roughness.关键词
