Abstract

The measurement of the harmonic voltage on the DC side of an ultra-high voltage DC (UHVDC) transmission system is of significance for design of the DC-side filter and allocation of the relay protection equipment.In this study,taking a ±1 100 kV DC transmission system as an example,the generation and characteristics of the DC-side harmonic voltage were analyzed,and a harmonic voltage measurement scheme was proposed.Consequently,a DC-side harmonic voltage measurement system was built.Then,a test platform was built to assess the accuracy and the frequency response characteristic of the measurement system,and a data processing algorithm was developed.Test result shows that the measurement system,accompanying with the data processing algorithm,can measure the DC-side harmonic voltage in the range from 50 to 1 200 Hz with an amplitude error smaller than 0.5% and a phase error smaller than 0.5 degree,and it adapts to the frequency fluctuation of power system.
