The Field Test of Magnesium Silicate Hydroxide as Lubricating Oil Additive
摘要
Abstract
The field test was carried out on three buses to research the friction-reducing and self-repair behaviors of the magnesium silicate hydroxide as lubricating oil additive. The morphologies and element distributions of the worn surface were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy ( SEM) and energy dispersive Xray spec-trometry ( EDX). Application test showed that the protecting layer of the self-reconditioning material on metals in-creases markedly the compression pressure of steam cylinder and reduces greatly the exhausts emission of CO,HC and poison matter.关键词
