摘要

Abstract

Laminated WC/TiC ceramic cutting tool material was fabricated by hot-pressing technique at 1750℃.The tribological behavior of the WC/TiC ceramic cutting tool material sliding against 316L austenitic stainless steel ball under dry sliding condi-tion and the morphologies of worn surfaces were investigated.The results showed that the applied loads and sliding speeds had a great influence on the friction coefficient and wear volume loss of the laminated WC /TiC ceramic cutting tool material.The friction coefficient and wear volume loss of the ceramic cutting tool material increased with an increase of the applied load.With an in-crease of the sliding speed ,the friction coefficient of the ceramic cutting tool material firstly decreased and then increased ,but the wear volume loss of the ceramic cutting tool material firstly increased and then decreased.During the process of the ceramic cut-ting tool material sliding against 316L austenitic stainless steel,the phenomenon of ploughing ,spalling of particle and delamina-tion occurred on the surface of the material.The fine grooves ,pits,cracks and flakiness of debris were found on the worn surfaces , which indicated that the wear mechanism of the tested specimens was abrasive wear and adhesive wear.
