Dyeing behavior, antimicrobial activity and UV-protection property of wool dyed with extracts from valonea
摘要
Abstract
The extraction procedure of valonea, dyeing behavior, antimicrobial activity and UV- protection property of valonea crude extract on wool fabrics were studied. UV- visible spectrophotometry of the extract were tested. The effects of pH and temperature on dyeing properties of wool extract were studied. And then the effect of mordant, such as ferrous sulfate, potassium aluminum sulfate, stannous chloride, copper sulfate and so on, on fabrics color hue and K/S value was investigated. Furthermore, the color fastness properties, an-timicrobial activity and UV- protection property of the dyed wool fabrics were analysized. The results showed that the optimum conditions for direct dyeing of valonea extract on wool fabrics were pH=3, temperature 95 ℃. Four kinds of mordants could improve color depth and have a great influence on the color hue. Al dye-ing wool fabrics had good color fastness for washing, rubbing and light. Moreover, the dyed wool fabrics showed good antimicrobial activity and UV resistant performance.关键词
