Abstract

Many structural and thermochronological studies are focused on West and Center Qinling and Dabie Orogenic Belt,while related studies are few for the East Qinling.It is still unclear whether the uplift-exhumation processes of the whole Qinling Orogenic Belt were contemporaneous during the Meso-Cenozonic times.In order to obtain information of the uplift-exhumation history of the East Qinling,we studied the apatite fission-track thermochronology of clastic particles in Luonan Basin and Shanyang Basin located in the Shangdan suture zone north and south on the both basins.The results show that the mean cooling rate and exhumation rate in the Kuanping Group and Taowan Group of Luonan Basin provenance were 4.05℃/Ma and 0.18 km/Ma respectively during the Cretaeeous period(from 104.4-68 Ma).The mean cooling rate and exhumation rate in the Liuling Group of Shanyang Basin provenance were 2.95℃/Ma and 0.12 km/Ma respectively during the Cretaeeous and the Eocene epoch period(from 129.6-64 Ma).This suggests that the heterogeneity of the uplift-exhumation processes of the North and South Qinling orogenic belt during the Cretaeeous and the Paleocene times.The exhumation rate in the North Qinling plate is higher than that in the South Qinling plate.
