Abstract
Objective To analyze the impact of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on serum brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in patients with first-episode schizophrenia.Methods Totally 82 patients with first-episode schizophrenia and predominantly negative symptoms were selected from our hospital.They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table,41 cases in each group.The two groups were given conventional drug treatment.Besides,the observation group was also given rTMS while the control group was given false stimulation.After 4-week treatment,the curative effect of the two groups was compared.Results After 4-week treatment,the PANSS scores (positive and negative symptoms scale),negative symptom score,positive symptom score,general pathological score and serum BDNF concentration of the observation group were better than those before treatment and the control group(P<0.05),while those of the control group showed no significant change compared with those before treatment (P>0.05).In the observation group,the PANSS scores,serum BDNF concentration change and the change of each factor had no obvious correlation (P>0.05).Conclusion rTMS can significantly increase the serum BDNF levels of patients with first-episode schizophrenia,but the change of serum BDNF levels had no obvious correlation with the improvement of clinical symptom.关键词
