摘要

Abstract

Arithmetic coding is a lossless data compression method,which can greatly reduce the redundancy of the signal.Be?cause of its high compression efficiency,it is widely used in image compression. The arithmetic coding algorithm,the coding pro?cess and the finite precision derivation process is studied in this paper. Finally,the static model and the adaptive model of arithme?tic coding are simulated and analyzed in Matlab. The results show that the arithmetic coding has a good compression effect. It can re?alize the lossless compression of image data,and it shows the good performance of arithmetic coding image compression.
