Investigation of the Distribution of Domestic Brands of CIS Among Secondary and Tertiary Hospitals in Liaoning Rural and Urban Areas

Abstract
Objective To describe the distribution of domestic brands of the clinical information system (CIS), in secondary and tertiary hospitals in Liaoning province. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 15 categories of CIS configuration of 45 urban and rural secondary and tertiary hospitals in Liaoning, to calculate clinical information systems (CISs) allocation level and brand structure in these hospitals. Results On average, 5.0 and 8.2 CIS per hospital was allocated in the secondary and tertiary hospitals, and that in urban hospitals (7.0) was higher than the rural (6.0). Domestic brand took 91.3% account of Liaoning CIS market. The top 3 brands allocated in secondary hospitals were Neusoft (12.8%), Runbest (9.2%) and Jiufang (9.2%), and that in tertiary hospitals were Zhonglian (19.8%), Neusoft (8.4%) and Tianjianyuanda (6.6%). Conclusion Since 2000, the allocation of CIS in secondary and tertiary hospitals in Liaoning has risen rapidly, and the allocation structure has changed dramatically. Domestic software has become the leading products.关键词
