Abstract
Spatial modulation (SM ) is a high data rate low complexity multi-input multi-output (MIMO ) wireless communication technology .Since the transmit antenna is activated randomly by the spatial modulated information sequence ,bad conditions of the activated channels will cause a performance reduction inevitably .In this paper , an index mapping MIMO system with antenna selection (MIMO-IM-AS ) is proposed . The traditional SM's activated antenna index bits and the constellation symbol index bits are combined to form a new modulation symbol .The antenna selection algorithms are employed to determine the optimum transmit antenna subset .The new modulation symbols are then transmitted over the optimal channels .The singular value decomposition (SVD ) and hard-limiting detection methods are adopted to reduce the computation complexity of the algorithms .The system performances under two different antenna selection algorithms are presented .The simulation results show that the proposed MIMO-IM-AS system has better Bit error rate characteristics than the traditional SM system .关键词
