Abstract
Objective To investigate the complications of acute pneumonia patients treated with nursing intervention of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and Western medicine. Methods Totally 150 patients with acute pneumonia in our hospital were divided into the rou-tine group and the study group according to the random number table method,75 cases in each group. The two groups were given con-ventional anti-infection treatment of cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium and levofloxacin,on this basis,the routine group was given the basic nursing,while the study group was given nursing intervention of TCM and Western medicine. The time of symptom dis-appearance (pulmonary rale,cough,fever and expectoration),length of hospital stay,pulmonary function improvement and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing,the time of symptom disappearance,length of hospital stay of the study group were shorter than those of the routine group,and the FVC and FEV1/FVC were higher than those of the routine group(P < 0. 05). The incidence rate of complication was 1. 33％ of the study group,which was significantly lower than 10. 67％ of the routine group (P < 0. 05). Conclusion Compared with nursing intervention of Western medicine alone,nursing intervention of TCM and Western medicine in the treatment of acute pneumonia patients can obviously shorten the improvement time of symptoms and signs,and effec-tively control the risk of complications.
