Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of NOX4 in connective tissue disease asso-ciated interstitial lung disease ( CTD-ILD) and to explore the possible role of NOX4 in CTD-ILD. Methods Lung biopsy specimens of CTD-ILD ( n=37 ) obtained by fine needle aspiration biopsy were collected and the expression of NOX4 in lung tissues and normal lung tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The expression of NOX4 in CTD-ILD patients was significantly higher than the normal (57. 77±5. 62 vs. 20. 26±5. 23, P<0. 001), and the expression was higher in pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells and fibroblasts than in normal lung tissues. Conclusion NOX4 may play an important role in the development and progression of CTD-ILD and may be a po-tential therapeutic target of CTD-ILD.关键词
