Influence of Aggregate Structure of P3HT Nanoparticles on the Performance of Organic Solar Cells

Abstract
To explore the relationship between the aggregate structure of active layers and the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of organic solar cells (OSCs),serials of poly (3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) nanoparticles (NPs) with uniform size,good dispersity and ordered molecular packing were prepared via adding poor solvent of acetone or n-hexane into P3HT chloroform solution with different dropping times.Atomic force microscope (AFM),ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to characterize the size,morphology and crystallinity of P3HT NPs.Blending P3HT NPs with [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as active layer,we fabricated serials of bulk-heterojunction OSCs and found that the devices based on P3HT NPs with similar size but ordered structure along π-π stacking direction showed better performance.关键词
