Abstract

Objective:To explore the therapeutic effects of compound Shengjing decoction on the sperm quali-ty and hormone level in infertile males.Methods:A total of 198 infertile patients were randomly assigned into treat-ment group(n=100,took compound Shengjing decoction)and control group(n=98,took Liuweidihuang pills). After 3 months of treatment,sperm activity,sperm motility,hormone level,and fructose of seminal plasma were analyzed by CASA,ECLI and improved resorcinol chromogenic method.Results:The total effective rate was 84. 00% and 63.26% in the treatment group and control group,with significant difference(P<0.01).The fructose, follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),testosterone(Tes),and luteinizing hormone(LH)levels increased in the treatment group,while estradiol(E2)decreased.There were significant differences between the treatment and con-trol groups(P<0.05).Conclusions:Compound Shengjing decoction is effective in the treatment of male oligoasthe-nozoospermic and asthenozoospermatic patients.The possible mechanism is that it can promote the seminal vesicle gland secretion of fructose,increase the level of seminal plasma and facilitate secretion of other related gonads atta-ched to the reproductive system.It can regulate hormones such as FSH,Tes,LH and E2,providing substances for the process of spermatogenesis and maturation.
