Abstract
The effect of solvents and catalysts on the synthesis of diphenyl toluene-2,4-dicarbamate (TDC) from toluene-2,4-diamine(TDA) and diphenyl carbonate(DPC) was studied.The reaction course and solvent effect were analyzed.The results showed that the polarity and the steric hindrance of solvents have influence on the reaction;N-methyl pyrrolidone(NMP) is an excellent solvent and Pb3O4 exhibits high catalytic activity for the reaction.Under the suitable reaction conditions with molar ratio Pb3O4/TDA 0.25,DPC/TDA 4,reaction temperature 120 ℃,and reaction time 8 h,TDA conversion 87.6% and TDC yield 75.3% were attained in the presence of NMP solvent.As using a mixed solvent with a volume ratio DMAC/NMP 1 ∶ 2,TDC yield and selectivity reached 83.5% and 99.1%,respectively.关键词
