摘要

Abstract

In this work,the influence of thermal annealing on Ni foam decorated with monobinary metal layer for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline media was studied.The composition,structure,morphology and electrochemical hydrogen evolution performance of the electrodeposited composite catalysts were investigated using X-ray diffractometer (XRD),scanning electron microscope (SEM),and electrochemical workstation.It can be found that,the samples annealed at 300 ℃ all exhibit better electro-catalytic HER performance than those unannealed.And the as-revealed catalytic activity toward HER followed the sequence:NF@Cu0.01@Ni0.01-300,NF@Cu0.01@Co0.03-300,NF@Ni0.01-300,NF@Co0.03-300.The results show that the NF@Cu0.01@Ni0.01-300 electrode exhibited the highest catalytic activity toward HER with the current density 3.97 times that of the bare Ni foam.Moreover,both excellent electrochemical and physical stabilities were also acquired on the NF@Cu0.01@Ni0.01-300 catalyst.It further confirmed that the electro-depositional surface metal layer modification and annealing treatment have a great beneficial influence on the performance of Ni-foam based composite catalyst for HER.
