Abstract
Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of real time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE) on assessment of right ventricular (RV)regional and global volume and systolic function in children with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).Methods:Fourty-six children with TOF(TOF group)and 30 normal children (control group) were examined with RT-3DE.Volumetric RT-3DE images were analyzed by TomTec software which provided regional and global end diastolic volume(EDV),end systolic volume(ESV) and ejection fraction (EF).RT 3DE quantitative data were analyzed to test repeatability.Results:Compared with the control group,the R-R interval and the RVEF of the observation group were significantly decreased (P<0.05),while RVEDV,RVESV,RVSV and RVD2 were significantly increased (P <0.05).In the right ventricle inflow,the ejection fraction of the TOF group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).In the right ventricular apex trabeculae,the end -diastolic volume and end-systolic volume of TOF group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.05).In the right ventricular outflow tract,the end-systolic volume of the TOF group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05),while the ejection fraction was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The results of the Bland-Altman curve analysis showed that RVEDV,RVESV,RVEF were measured by TomTec RV-Function analysis software in Inter-observer [RVEDV..(-1.6±15.6) ml,RVESV:(-0.4±6.2) ml,RVEF:(0.5±5.4) ml] and intra-observer[RVEDV:(-4.7±20.8) ml,RVESV:(3.3± 14.3) ml,RVEF..(2.6 ± 7.9) m1] were well reproducible.Conclusion:RT-3DE can be used as an effective method for the diagnosis of right ventricular regional and global volume and systolic function in children with tetralogy of Fallot.关键词
