Time-Varying Regularity of Wheel/Rail Contact Geometric Parameters of High Speed Railway Caused by Wheel Profile Wear

Abstract
The track system is considered as a viscoelastic force element without mass.With multi-body dynamics software UM,the vehicle-track coupling dynamics model for the single carbody of CRH2 high speed train is built.Combined with the wheel/rail non-elliptic rolling contact model and wheel profile wear evolution model,with the maximum depth of wheel wear of 0.1 mm as the update condition for wheel profile,the time-varying regularities of such geometric parameters as the radius of the rolling circle,equivalent taper,contact angle and contact point distribution were studied through the dynamic simulation under the influence of track system vibration,the nonlinearity of vehicle suspension force and the geometric nonlinearity of the wheel/rail contact.Results show that the accuracy of the model is verified by the comparison results between the simulations and field tests of wheel profile wear and the wear at nominal rolling circle radius under different operating mileage.With the increase of operation time and mileage,the wheel profile wear will have a significant impact on the wheel-rail contact geometry parameters.Among which,the equivalent taper,the difference of rolling circle radius and contact angle changes obviously in the process from 0 gradually to 100 thousand km operating mileage,and changes slowly from 100 thousand km gradually to 200 thousand km.Then in the process from 200 thousand km gradually to 250 thousand km,the wheel profile wear is further intensified.The variations of equivalent taper,the difference of rolling circle radius and the contact angle increase sharply.The wheel/rail contact point distribution evolves from one-point contact to two-point contact gradually along with the increase of operating mileage,the dynamic performance of the vehicle also decreases.关键词
