Expression of ZNF217 and p53 in breast cancer and its clinical significance

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of zinc finger protein ZNF217 and p53 in breast cancer and its significance.Methods The expression of ZNF217 and p53 protein in 80 cases of breast cancer (breast cancer group) and corresponding adjacent tissues (control group) were detected by immunohistochemical En Vision method.The associations between expression of those proteins and clinicopathological factors (age,tumor size,typing,histological grade,clinical stage and lymph node metastasis) was analyzed,the correlation between the expression of ZNF217 and p53 in breast cancer tissues was also analyzed.Results The positive rates of ZNF217 and p53 expression were significantly higher than those in non-cancerous adjacent breast tissues (P＜0.05).The expression of ZNF217 and p53 protein was correlated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis,but not correlated with age,tumor size,histological type and grading (P ＞0.05).There was a positive correlation between ZNF217 and p53 expression in breast cancer (P ＞0.05).Conclusion The expression of ZNF217 and p53 is significantly increased in breast cancer,which is closely correlated with occurrence,development and metastasis of breast cancer.关键词
