Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy of ablative lasers in treating children's congenital melanocytic nevi of eyelids and periorbital areas. Methods From January 2014 to December 2016, 22 children received ablative laser therapies, including carbon dioxide laser or Er:bium laser. The interval duration was at least 1 month and the follow-up time was at least 6 months. Results were graded as percent clearance in five grades according to the pre-operative and post-operative photographs. Results All 22 patients received mean 7.4 laser treatment sessions with a mean follow-up of 23 months. Among the 22 patients, the poor, fair, good, excellent and clearance ones were 9, 4, 5, 2 and 2, respectively, and the effective rate was 41%. Dyspigmentation was observed in 3 cases. Conclusion Using ablative lasers to treat congenital melanocytic nevi of eyelids and periorbital areas is safe and effective.关键词
