Synthesis of Chrysotile Used in Lubricant Additives

Abstract
The hydrothermal synthesis of serpentine was studied using three experimental methods .The composition and morphology of powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction ( XRD) and transmission electron microscopy ( TEM ) , respectively .The results show that chrysotile nanotubes are successfully synthesized by talc and MgO at the temperature of 220 ℃, pH=13 and reaction time of 30 h, and the effect of hydrothermal conditions on the product is discussed .Synthetic products containing chrysotile and natural serpentine were modified by surface modifier , respectively . Four-ball friction and wear experiments were carried out to study the tribological property of them .The synthetic serpentine showes better antifriction and wear-resistant effect than natural serpentine .关键词
