Relationship of vitamin D deficiency with asthma in children
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship of vitamin D deficiency with asthma in children .Methods Seventy-eight children with asthma were enrolled as observation group ,and 78 healthy children as control group .Serum levels of vitamin D were compared between the two groups,or among children with various severities of asthma or with various control situations of asthma .The factors influencing asthma attack in children were analyzed.Results The level of serum vitamin D in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference in the serum level of serum vitamin D among children with various severities of asthma or with various control situations of asthma (all P>0.05).The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that vitamin D deficiency was an independent risk factor for asthma attack in children (P<0.05).Conclusion Vitamin D deficiency might increase the risk of asthma in children .关键词
